Cotswold Market Garden was founded in 2019 as a partnership between career-changer, James Butterworth, and Jonty and Mel Brunyee of Conygree Farm.

 

Our mission is to grow delicious, seasonal, organic vegetables that are eaten fresh within around 10 miles of the farm. This way we can do our bit to build a truly local and more sustainable food system.

 

The market garden occupies a 2.5 acre site at Conygree Farm.

 

Throughout the year we grow around 50 types of vegetables and around 100 varieties using only hand tools and mainly following 'no-dig'/'no-till' principles.

 

Although labour intensive, this allows us to maximise the amount of food that can be grown on a small area and helps support more people working on the land.

Our produce is sold through our veg box delivery scheme, local shops, pubs restaurants, Chedworth Produce Market and the pop-up farm shop at Conygree Farm.

 

Our Organic Mixed Salad bags - our speciality - are available year round and can be found in a range of local shops.

We sell organic plants every May to other growers, allotment keepers and gardeners.

This years big plant sale weekend is May 10th and11th 2025. ​
